There is something weird about that Kim video. It starts with Andy’s 1968 cut and at about 20 secs it fades away into another version by someone else or a remake of some sort. I can not remember where I read it, but it was recent, an article said that some radio stations banned the song because they thought he was promoting “shooting up” as in drugs. I think the market was San Francisco. Will have to see if I can find the piece. I remember when Kpug spliced Lets Spend the Night Together to a clunky Lets Spend (snip snip) Together. Also, Lou Christie released an alternate version of Rhapsody in the Rain…culling the line about making out in the rain and in that car their love went much too far. It became some schmaltzy and benign lyric. Unfortunately for me as a kid, I bought the censored 45.

I guess I should have listened a bit longer.

There a few different versions on YT. I will find an authentic version.

Thanks Steve.
