Number One Song At KJR Seattle In 1970

I am pretty sure this was the top song at KJR in 1970.

Someone has some explaining to do.

I was 15. I dug it. So did all my friends. It had a catchy beat. I may have requested it a time or two.

Well, once I endured 45 seconds or so of this, I remembered it, and thank God, I don’t remember the tune well enough for it to give me an Earworm. It’s not as horrible as many out there, but on the whole, I prefer ‘Jennifer Eccles’

What I remember is that we, at KJR, were way way out in front on this record. I don’t think the rest of the country ever caught up with us. And that is not, necessarily, a good thing.

Also ahead of the curve on “Who Will Answer” by Ed Ames…..we had some great music back then but then there was “Woof!!”
