Radio really was a lot of fun. I went thru radio school with Crow, Maynard and Charlie Brown and a few others who went elsewhere and did very well. I had a choice of the overnight at KJRB, or playing 6 nights a week with my band. Chose the latter. I can only imagine how different my life might have been. I love the one I’ve had, but Charlie is a millionaire!!

Never knew you were an aspiring DJ Ned.

Lalo, not all the legends became millionaires. Sadly a lot feel on some very hard times. (I will not mention any names) I still listen to WLS-FM at night for John (records) Landecker and Dick Biondi. But even they seem to be going to cue cards. WHAT A WAIST! I still miss your,e show on KPLU. I,m glad you made the choice you made because you gave us some very good music. But in radio there is something lackin because they are not cadillacin

I know this is a couple of years later, but I just found it and he hit it on the head, you guys were exactly that…..funny, irreverant, and played rock and roll…and as for my generation….we absolutely loved you. I can remember arguments on the locker room….even in the cafeteria about which disc jockey was best…and the field was just about two stations KJR and KOL (KJR ALWAYS won 🙂 )).
