Norm Gregory Radio Scrapbook: Scotty Brink Leaves KJR, 1971

in 1971, Audio, KJR, Radio Scrapbook

This is a follow up to yesterday’s post regarding my moving to afternoons at KJR.

Vic Stredicke takes a little shot at Scotty Brink upon his departure. It you want to read between lines – maybe an indication on why Brink didn’t stick. As I mentioned yesterday I really don’t remember what happen.

The “new announcer” would show up in August and Bob Shannon would last, in early evening slot, until May 1972.

Ouch!

I ran into Scotty Brink at The Mountain–KMTT. He was filling-in for someone following my shift.

He has been everywhere, it seems.

Brink has one of the most impressive resumes.

And this list is incomplete.

The man should write a book. I’m sure he has stories to tell.

I have Brink at KJR: April 1971 – July 1971 and September 1974 to May 1976.

It just occurred to me that I got afternoons when Brink left in ’71 and he was back after I left in ’74.
