I came back to KZOK in the spring of 1980 landing in the nice corner station manager’s office on the 5th floor, above 5th and Pike, downtown Seattle (Across the street was the Coliseum theater). Some of the folks at the SRO home office in Bellevue were concerned that maybe a rock ‘n roll disk jockey might not have all the management skills that the job required; even though I had been a program director at two stations (including at KZOK a year earlier). So Mr. Danz, sent me to business school at the University of Washington. For eight months I attended evening classes at the U.W. I learned a lot of things including Transcendental Meditation (I am not kidding).
