When I was growing up in Seattle there was only one voice of baseball: Leo Lassen. Lassen calling the Seattle Rainiers games on the radio was the sound of summer. Talk about theater of the mind. Much later when I learned he called the road games from a Seattle studio by using the very basic information being fed to him via teletype I was really amazed. It really was theater of the mind.
