Here is my KOMO AM-1000 afternoon program, on this day 18 years ago. In three days I was out the KOMO door. A mutual parting of the ways. Me and a key management figure, new in the job, were not getting along.

On this KOMO Big Afternoon Broadcast we are talking about: It’s National Bicycle To Work day; Bike racks coming to Metro buses • It’s also Syttende Mai (Norwegian Constitution Day); yes a parade in Ballard • What kind of jelly do most folks use in peanut ’n butter sandwiches. • What is the difference between ‘jam’ and ‘jelly?’ • You gotta hear me sell the “Back Machine” • The captain of the Listen At Work team is a guy I went to Roosevelt High with • Play a Genius version of the Five Seconds Game: In 5 seconds name five Americans who have been to the moon. (in pre internet days it was tough) 12 men have done it.

On the May 17, 1994, Big Afternoon Broadcast: Lan Archer with news, Ted Potter, in the KOMO Air Patrol and Steve Pool in the KOMO Weather Center.
