Here is my KOMO AM-1000 afternoon program, on this day, a Thursday, 18 years ago. I gotta admit I enjoyed listening. This is pretty much me at the top of my game.

On this KOMO Big Afternoon Broadcast we are talking about: Endangered Species Month • I talk to a marine mammal biologist from Seattle Aquarium about marine life in Puget Sound such as the river otters (no sea otters) who eat on land; what to do about the sea lions who are eating the salmon. • Looking for April Fools Day tricks • Boeing fixes the scary toilet seats in new 777s. • Our Listen At Work team is from Tacoma • A report from the Business To Business Expo • Talk about Spring activities. • Russian crab boat crew member go shopping for American cars while their boat is being repaired in Anacortes • I get a report of the tulips in Skagit Valley – 25% of the field are blooming already – weather has been too warm – 80 degrees yesterday • In the Five Seconds game I look for 5 musical groups with the word ‘brothers’ or ‘sisters’ in their name.

On the Big Afternoon Broadcast: Lan Archer with news, Ted Potter in the KOMO Air Patrol and Steve Pool in the KOMO Weather Center.
