Here is my KOMO AM-1000 afternoon program, on this day 18 years ago. This is me pretty much at the top of my game.

On this KOMO Big Afternoon Broadcast we are talking about: Three TV movies about Tonya Harding are coming • A plan for a giant underwater sound wave, to measure water temp, has been dumped • News that this new thing, The Internet, is spreading. • The Nixon funeral is being planned; the previous president to die was Lyndon Johnson in 1973 • A listener sings the Barney “I Love You” song • Calvin Klein planning to release a “uni-sex” fragrance – good idea if men and women smell the same? • We play Listen at Work played with a Puget Sound Air Pollution Control team • I advertise a new internet email system. • This summer’s Gorge schedule has been announced: The Steve Miller Band, Henry Connick, Jr, Dwight Yoakam, Crosby, Stills and Nash, James Taylor, Michael Bolton among the acts appearing • Some one stole a woman’s frozen python • In the Five Seconds game I look for the 5 states that border Colorado • CBS and FOX networks simulcast a special on kids gun violence: “Kids Killing Kids.”

On the Big Afternoon Broadcast: Lan Archer with news, Rob Mason for Ted Potter, in the KOMO Air Patrol and Liz Rocca for Steve Pool in the KOMO Weather Center.
