Here is my KOMO AM-1000 afternoon program, on this day 18 years ago. I gotta admit I enjoyed listening. This is pretty much me at the top of my game.

On this KOMO Big Afternoon Broadcast we are talking about: Richard Nixon is in a coma. • I give away $1,000 in the KOMO Radio Easy Money Giveaway. • Two salmon eating sea lions are caught off Shilshole. I talk to Kathleen South at Pt Defiance Zoo, where the sea lions are being kept, on how they are doing. They will be going back to California. • Roseanne Arnold withdraws her divorce filing from Tom Arnold. • Today is the Northgate Shopping Mall’s birthday, which opened in 1950. • We play Listen at Work played with a Metro Van Pool team • I advertise a new internet email system. • Some are advocating reusable coffee cups instead of those paper cups that tossed away after one use • The Seattle World’s Fair, Century 21, opened on the day in 1962. There was a big rock ‘n roll show downtown at the Orpheum Theater. • Woodlawn Park Zoo opened their Family Farm today. • In the Five Seconds game I look for 5 characters on the sit-com “Roseanne.” • The movie “Even Cowgirls Get The Blues,” based on the Tom Robbins book, opens.

On the Big Afternoon Broadcast: Lan Archer with news, Rob Mason, filling in for Ted Potter, in the KOMO Air Patrol and Steve Pool in the KOMO Weather Center.
