Norm Gregory Radio Scrapbook: KJR FM Imagers

KJR FM banner 600I was always looking for ways to position KJR-FM as not only playing The Greatest Hits Of the ’70s but as a station having much fun.

Here are a few odd, goofy and/or serious promos we ran at KJR-FM in the mid 1990s.

KJR-FM, National Accordion Day Promo

KJR-FM Martin Luther King Jr Day Promo *

KJR-FM, Vietnam Vets Promo

KJR-FM, Earthweek Promo

KJR-FM, Appollo Promo

KJR-FM’s ace production director, Chad Douglas gets 75% of the credit for this work. I wrote them (and voiced most of ’em) but Chad blended it all together in Pro-Tools and the results were always wonderful.

((* If I recall correctly the MLK spot won some sort of public service award ))

What is going on here? I have been digging through My Collection of photos, news clippings and other documents from my 35 years in radio. The daily postings began on May 19, 2011. The Collection can be sorted:

By year: 1961 • 1963 • 1967 • 1968 • 1969 • 1970 • 1971 • 1972
1973 • 1974 • 1975 • 1976 • 1977 • 1978 • 1979 • 1980 • 1981 • 1994
