I am not sure why I have this piece of tape. December 1974 I was long gone from KJR. I had left the previous July. By December I was firmly entrenched at KZOK doing afternoons and experiencing FM radio taking off in Seattle. Upon my departure from Channel 95 Kevin O’Brien took over afternoons where he would be until he left the station in May of 1975.

What is going on here? I have been digging through My Collection of photos, news clippings and other documents from my 35 years in radio. The daily postings began on May 19, 2011. The Collection can be sorted:

By radio station: KPUG • KJRB • KJR • KZOK • KQFM • KOMO • KJR-FM

By year: 1961 • 1963 • 1967 • 1968 • 1969 • 1970 • 1971 • 1972
1973 • 1974 • 1975 • 1976 • 1977 • 1978 • 1979 • 1980 • 1981 • 1994

Norm, This page is worth it for the Spokane Hendrix poster. I was there….on brown mescaline or some such. Great show…I think.

Ha . . .you were also out there Ned!!

Did you go to the page to listen the KJRB audio with the Hendrix “West Coast Exclusive” and the Hendrix concert spot? Actually my favorite part of the air check is the mention that KJRB was going to have a reporter at the upcoming 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago. Ha. . . Gee I wonder if anything news worthy happened there?
