Judy Collins was visiting KOMO for an appearance on the afternoon TV show. I think she was plugging her book. I knew she was born in Ballard and her father had worked at KOMO radio in the 1930s. Interesting enough for me to grab a tape machine and spend a few minutes with the singer in the “green room.” I got about 15 minutes of tape. I lifted out the five minutes she talked about her Seattle roots — mostly what I used on the air later on my afternoon program on KOMO AM-1000 — and posted it here.
