Norm Gregory Radio Scrapbook: Charlie Brown Leaves KJR, 1976, For Six Months

by Norm Gregory on April 5, 2012

in 1976, KJR, Radio Scrapbook

In all the years I worked with Charlie Brown I don’t think we ever discussed what happened during his six months in Dallas. He left Seattle in January for the big gig in Texas and returned to KJR in June. ((By the way $60,000 then is equal to $230,000 now))

Charlie retired from radio in September 1997.

Norm do you know why it didnt work in Dallas? Remember when Langen and west went to KMET from KISW they were there only a few months because when they got there, the PD who hired them from the story I was told was gone and the new one didnt like them or there humor.

I don’t know . . .

Despite zillions of opportunities, as I mentioned above, I don’t remember ever discussing what happened in Dallas with Charlie.
