Early Seattle Rock ‘n Roll

Growing up in the ’50s there were only two local Rock ‘n Roll bands in Seattle. The Frantics from Lincoln High played gigs north of the ship canal. The Dave Lewis Trio mostly from Garfield High play gigs south of the ship canal. Both had minor regional hits. Here is one of Dave Lewis’ hits ••• Here is the Dave Lewis Wiki page… which pretty much tells the story

Now you got me going…. Here is my favorite song from The Frantics.

Werewolf was their biggest hit making it to #83 on Billboard. My personal favorite or at least the song I most associate with the band is Straight Flush.

“Little Green Thing”/aka the other title: Good Guy’s Theme really holds up all these years hence.
