Thanks for the comments. Edwards is done.

If you are curious about the net conditions it's always fun to run a trace route. You will see where the slow downs are . . not that you can do anything about it. If you are unfamiliar with the process check: How to Traceroute. It's an eye opener.

Norm, I finally had success connecting to the site. Maybe there was just a traffic jam on the old www this weekend. Who knows? Anyway, I am here. I just wanted to comment on the John Edwards scandal/tragedy. I too was an Edwards man going back to the 2000 election for the same reasons you mentioned. I really wanted Gore to choose Edwards as his running mate, instead he put that turncoat moron Lieberman on the ticket. To say I am disappointed in Edwards is an understatement. I truly felt he was above anything like this. That woman is not without blame either. Edwards is a jack ass for cheating on Elizabeth, but that is one no class b***h to have an affair with a man whose wife is battling a potentially terminal illness. You brought up exactly what came in to my mind when he admitted the affair. My God, what if he had won the nomination??? The party would be in a world of hurt right now. This really is a tragedy on many levels. First for how it is going to tear his family apart, but secondly, we lose a powerful public figure who was strong on fighting poverty and in going after the corporate pigs in this country. I had been hoping Obama would appoint Edwards as Attorney Gen. Now that is highly unlikely. It is just a sad, sad thing.
